Nowadays the majority of schools offer classes, where boys and girls study together. However, some people are against this kind of educational system; they believe separate classes would be much more effective form of studying.
In my opinion, students of both genders should be taught together. To begin with, boys and girls, who study together, develop communication skills much faster and easier because they constantly talk to each other. Furthermore, learning how to work and get along well with people of both genders helps students become confident and cooperative. Finally, classes with boys and girls are more interesting because there is always a competition between the opposite genders over who gets the assignments done faster.
On the other hand, some people claim that grouping students into single-sex classrooms is the best option for people who want to become independent and competitive. In their mind, students focus on studying and do not get distracted by talking to each other only in separate classes. They also think that some students could be too shy and timid and thus they are likely to be humiliated and abased by the opposite sex.
I cannot agree with these people. The earlier boys and girls start talking to each other the easier their future life will be because no matter where they go they will have to work and cooperate with people of both genders.
To sum up, I would say that classrooms with students of both sexes are much better than separate ones. They prepare students for adult life and help them face different situations and problems.
