You have received a letter from your English-speaking pen-friend John who writes:
…Last week my mom went to New York to help my aunt with her new baby. My dad and I had to do all the housework ourselves. What kind of family chores do you normally have, if at all? What would you cook for yourself, if you had to? Do you think boys should be able to cook and to keep house, and why?
Next weekend I’m going hiking with my classmates…

Dear Lohn,
I'm very glad to get a letter from you! Oh, I think it will hard to do all the housework without your mom for you. Usually I cook a dinner, wash dishes, wash floors and wipe the dust. If I had to cook for myself I would cook something easy and tasty. For example, a salad. Also I like to cook sweets. I would cook a cake. Yes, I think that boy should be able to cook and to keep house because it helps to be independent sometimes.
It's a very good idea to go to hike with your classmates. I think it will be interesting for you and it always closes people with each other. What do you going to do there? Is your class big or small? Your form-master will go with you, won't it? Tell me more about it in your following letter!
Best wishes,
Maria
